Join the Nakamura Branch of Tosa Jikiden Eishin-ryu!

Tosa Jikiden Eishin-ryu is an authentic Samurai sword art that came to Tosa (modern-day Kochi Prefecture) in the early 1700s. For generations, it was the otome-ryu—the official and secret style of the Tosa clan—and became known as “Tosa Iaido.”

Samurai Spirit – Mindfulness in Motion”

Iaido brings Samurai tradition into modern life. By focusing on the single instant of drawing the sword, practitioners develop mindfulness, confidence, and inner strength—skills that carry into everyday life.

Today, under the 22nd headmaster, Yoshinouchi-sensei, the main dojo in Kochi leads branches across Japan, with over 200 dedicated students. Here in Nakamura (Shimanto City)also, powerful Tosa style for future generations.
